Parents & health

Meet the parents of our litters.

Every litter starts with its own pairing. Here you can meet Molly, who lives with us, and some of the dads who have fathered our litters. We’re happy to talk about the parents of the puppy you’re considering.

Parents and pairings

A pairing for each litter.

The parents help us understand what a puppy may grow into, from size and coat to the qualities they bring to family life. We’ll introduce you to the parents of the litter you’re considering and explain the health screening behind our breeding decisions.

Meet Molly

Molly, part of our family.

Molly is part of our family here in Lake Macquarie. Here she is relaxing indoors and out for a walk. Each puppy’s profile names the mum and dad of their own litter.

Some of the dads

Fathers of our litters.

These boys live with their own families and have fathered Watagan Park litters. The pairing is different for each litter, so check your puppy’s profile or ask us who their mum and dad are.

A clear DNA result relates to the conditions tested in that panel. Coat, shedding and colour can still vary between puppies; double furnishings do not guarantee a non-shedding or allergy-free puppy. We’re happy to discuss the results for your puppy’s parents. About Orivet DNA testing.

Health & DNA

Understanding the parents’ health checks.

Ask to see the records for your puppy’s parents, including their DNA reports and any hip and elbow scores. We can explain which conditions were tested and what the results mean for the pairing.

Our health screening Physical health checks + DNA screening

DNA screening

  • Orivet testing for the featured fathers
  • Results for the named parents of each litter
  • The conditions covered by each parent’s panel

Physical health checks

  • Veterinary health checks
  • Hip and elbow scoring where recorded
  • Results considered for the individual pairing

DNA testing covers only the conditions included in a panel. It is one part of a wider health picture, not a guarantee that a puppy will never develop a health problem.

Our breeding practices

How we plan litters and prepare puppies for home.

We plan our litters with reproductive veterinary support from Sires On Ice, considering the parents’ health, size and temperament. Once the puppies arrive, their early learning and care happen at home with us.
